Is there a method for Mame games to retain High Scores..like say Track and Field for example.

You need to download the latest hiscore.dat file. Not all games are supported.

Go to your Mame install folder and open the plugin.ini file in notepad and enable it by setting hiscore to 1 instead of 0.
