"Background fade" setting in Bigbox?

What does the Background Fade setting in the BigBog View menu do? You can set it as a percentage from 0 to 100.

I had thought that it might fade out the backgrounds (which is what I wanted it to do), but changing it doesn't seem to do anything.

That's what it should do. Just tested with Aeon MQ7 theme and it works fine. Using 0 the image is full and moving up to 90 it is barely seen. What theme are you using?

I'm using Criticalzone.

Probably a theme issue. I just tested Critical Zone and another and the fade does not work on background images. In Aeon MQ7 it does work. I would post in the CriticalZone theme thread and see if something in the xml can be edited.
