Lukeyboy67
Hi, I currently have Launchbox on my C drive, it's a 120 gb SSD and I'm running out of space. I've just bought a 1 tb external drive which I plan having all my roms on. I realise that all the media data, box covers, videos etc are stored in the lanchbox folder. My question is, will I have to move Launchbox over to the external drive or can I keep it on C and store the media data on the external? is this possible? DOS76
you can leave LB on C and move all of the assets to your other drive but I'm not going to lie depending on how many systems you have it can be a pretty lot of work and you have to move each category per platform individually. To do so you just go to manage platforms edit the platform you want go to the folders tab and begin moving things to the folder you want. You can also do this by moving all the folders and then creating a symbolic link back to the original location this will have you assets on your data drive but LB will think they are in C the only issue with I believe is if you add new images they will actually be put in C and not on your data drive. Lukeyboy67
I currently have 67 systems so I presume it's gonna be a big job! If I just simply cut and paste my LB folder from C to my data drive will that raise any problems?
