surreal0769
I just started getting this error lately when i try to import any roms. I successfully updated nintendo, supernintendo, nintendo64 without incident. I tried to manually input an emulator name for stella then assigned it to atari 2600 when i first noticed the problem. So even though i really dislike retroarch I decided to just put in on and use a preconfigured emulator but it is doing the same thing. Only other issue i noticed before is when i updated a Sega Genesis game "Sonic the Hedgehog" as a single rom it auto assigned it to sega game gear i believe then i corrected it back to Genesis. In short though, i can no longer add anything to my library without the error. I'm using a clean install of windows 10 pro, and installed a sandisk ssd for speed which is working out beautifully. Intel i3, 4GB ram.
DOS76
That error message is saying there is something wrong with an XML file most likely your Platform xml but I'm guessing from the error message. I'll tag @Jason Carrand hopefully he can give definite insight into what that error means.
surreal0769
Thanks. if it came down to it i could re-install but it would be helpful to find a fix. This has only happened on Windows 10. Seems like 7 is a bit more stable but i heard 10 manages memory better..

I backed up my vids, music, and roms of course. Imported them back and re-scanned for everything. I'll update if it does it again.
