Lenny
Hi all, I have a few questions about the new mame importer. First does it matter what mame romset it is? or will it work better with newer sets? The reason I ask is because when I imported my 0.139 set it imported games that are not in that set, for example Breakout was scraped but it does not exist in the set while in launchbox it showed the rom as it was scrapped but it was not there . Thanks for your help!
Lordmonkus
It uses the latest Mame database and will update every month so yeah if your rom set is older you will get games that are not in your set. With an older rom set you are better off using the old import method.
Lenny
Awesome! Good to know! Is it currently set for 0.201 currently?

Yeah currently the metadata used is for 0.201, but as @Lordmonkus said if you have a old set you are better off using the old importer, you will still get the new metadata but only the roms you have will actually be imported. The new importer is strictly for fullsets, and the most recent one at that, its not "technically" importing your roms there as you are expected to have a fullset so every game marked as working in 0.201 is added to Launchbox. So that is why you would of had games that you dont actually have, that game must of been dumped and marked as working since the romset version you have, so was added as its expected you have a current full romset for the MAME full romset importer.
