2nd player 'down' doing something odd.

Hi all,

Just recently got back into my arcade, and replaced my Ultimarc IPAC-2 with a Ultimate I/O. Did a fresh install of Launchbox and Retroarch.

So far, I've got basic function going. The odd things that is happening for me so far is while using MAME for my arcade games ( tried MAME and MAME 2014 through Retroarch so far )  I press the 2nd player joystick 'down' ( default for the board is 'f' - which I've checked in notepad ), the response isn't correct - It doesn't move the on-screen character down, but shrinks the game screen to the upper left side of the screen with all the controls like 'file', etc. If I push down again, it expands the screen out again ( see image included ).

All my other switches are working as expected.

The only other thing I've noticed is when I start a game I'm getting the message: "100%: I-PAC Ultimate (53769/140) not configured."

From what I've seen, 'f' is still player 2 down by default in MAME, so is Retroarch somehow interfering?

Thanks very much for any insight you can grant - I appreciate it.
