natemac00
I imported all my arcade rom in as Arcade and I went in and assigned Specific emulators to certain ROMs for Model2, Model3, Naomi, etc... @Jason CarrWhen I double-click on a Arcade game it loads the correct Emulator that I've assigned to it, but if I right-click and choose a different version, it used the default (MAME) emulator to attempt to launch the ROM. I'm guessing this is just a bug, but let me know otherwise. This occurs anywhere the assigned emulator is not the default for that platform. DOS76
unfortunately that is how things work if you change you games emulators it has no effect on the additional apps and you have to edit them manually and change the emulator.
natemac00
But each revision in the drop-down menu even shows the 'Demul' icon logo, but it launches MAME(the default Arcade emulator).
DOS76
If you edit the game go to the additional apps tab you can then edit one of the apps there you can see and change what emulator it is set to use. So I would say maybe it showing the default emulators icon is a bug but the additional apps have always worked in this manner. I would be nice if it automatically changed them or at least offered you the option to change them as maybe some people would want to have them set to run with different emulators but as of now this is how they function and always have. But it's still not working correctly, When I double-click "18 Wheeler", it launches file "18wheelro.zip"[(Deluxe) Version] with Demul. Yet when I Right-click on "18 Wheeler" and select [Play (Deluxe) Version] it launches files "18wheelro.zip" with MAMEUI. I understand what you're saying with how it's acting with the Additional Apps, but that's the whole point of Bulk-Edit. https://www.dropbox.com/s/jxd0vwki472j766/Launchbox.mov?dl=0 Edited October 27, 2018 by natemac00
DOS76
Bulk edit has never worked on Additional Apps the feature has been requested in the past but unfortunately Jason has never added it.
natemac00
I'm assuming the only way to go around this is to change the entire platform, make it no longer Arcade and make it it's own NAOMI platform.
DOS76
well bulk edit will work on all of the facing games but the additional apps you would have to edit individually. you could split all the combined roms out change the emulator for them in bulk and recombine them but either way its a hassle. Jason Carr
I have it on my shortlist to fix the bulk edit issue here.
