vaderag
So, I've been moving some of my emulation over to Retroarch and seem to have got in a bit of a muddle. Just set up an overlay and a shader for Atari Lynx. I found some guides that talked about separating out the config file for the core that you want, so have done that and fab, the overlay only works for the Atari Lynx However, I somehow seem to have managed to set the shader so that it applies to EVERYTHING - no matter the core, no matter what. As far as I can tell this information doesnt exist in the main Retroarch.cfg (at least I can't see it) and there is no mention of it in any specific config files, so I have no idea where this is set! Can someone please help me out of this muddle?!
Lordmonkus
Look for the line: video_shader = It probably has some shader stuff after the =, you want to remove that so it looks like this: video_shader = ""
vaderag
Just now, Lordmonkus said: Look for the line: video_shader = It probably has some shader stuff after the =, you want to remove that so it looks like this: video_shader = "" Thanks - will take a look And then... how do I set the shader per system? Lordmonkus
Load Retroarch with no game or core loaded: Settings > Configuration > Save Configuration On Exit Off Settings > Configuration > Load Content Specific Core Options Automatically On Settings > Configuration > Load Override Files Automatically On Main Menu > Configuration File > Save Current Configuration Close Retroarch and restart it, load up a core and a game: Bring up the Quick Menu, go to Shaders and load the shader you want for the core. Then Quick Menu > Shaders > Save Core Preset. This should now load that specific shader every time you load up that specific core. If that doesn't work do it again but after the above step back up to Quick Menu > Overrides > Save Core Overrides. Hopefully this all works for you, this is how I do it in my setup. Ah - i suspect it's the first line that's the issue since that's set to on in my setup!
Lordmonkus
Yeah that first one is usually the big trip up.

Know this is a marginally different question, but trying to set up a bezel for Wonderswan and on resizing the video I'm finding that it's just cropping the output rather than resizing. Same thing on Atari Lynx and it resized okay... any ideas?!
Lordmonkus
Sorry I don't, I don't use bezels myself so I have no clues on setting them up.
