You can just hide options behind the lock, that way you can simply have shutdown/reboot on the menu

Just wanted to revisit the question above - I tried an import by just taking the zip files, extracting them and then using the MS-DOS import but (as suspected) the vast majority of games didn't get found by Launchbox in the DB. And that's before I even tried running them (I have no idea if Exodos is running any wizardry...) How can I export a list of games from a working Exodos LB setup into a different machine?

Is there a better way of filtering in big box? I had some guests today and I have a two player playlist and and racing game playlist, but not the combined, and I really struggled to find a two player racing game when someone asked In theory the filters should work but I couldn't find one for player count and most of them require typing which at least to me many things are non obvious At the very least I expected those to populate from existing values rather than typing! Am I missing a trick? Or is that it?

I have an odd issue with Mame that when I pause the game and unpause (with the BB Pause screen) it freezes for anything between a few seconds up to maybe 30seconds... It always resumes but it's a bit odd Anyone know why this might be? Pause without LB pause is fine!

Sorry to revisit this thread - I have a machine with Exodos installed (and only Exodos) and I want to move _a subset_ (currently in a playlist, ~60 games) to a different machine with an existing Launchbox setup Is there an easy way / step by step to do this? I've already embarked on copying the zip files and trying to recreate the directory structure but I realise I'm going to lose a bunch of stuff and no idea how much of that will autodownload... Okay fair enough - will give it a try I'm only using the machine for BigBox - its an arcade cab - so this seems geared to me as a user, but I'm just not sure the pros/cons What happens if I need to exit big box to load LB and add some games or whatever?

Slightly off topic but I've been using BB as a startup item - what's the benefit of doing things this way? And is it likely to cause me any issues with launching things?

Yup, that seems to be the one for Platforms - looks like i need to backup the whole playlist directory as well if I've changed theme on those

This is a bit of an odd one, but I've tried pretty much every option to troubleshoot. If I disable Launchbox Pause I can happily use LEDBlinky's controls speech in MAME when I pause, however when using LB Pause, something stops it from working I've tried disabling/enabling the pause options but the only thing that seems to work is disabling the pause screen all together (Which I don't want) Anyone else come across this issue and managed to troubleshoot? I use my BigBox as the frontend for my arcade cab - at the moment I shut it down which means that I have around a minute cold boot to get up and running I was wondering if it's safe to simply have my power button sleep or hibernate instead so that it boots back up to the action much quicker?

Thanks @Retro808 but that's not quite what I'm looking for If I look at BigBoxSettingsOverrides for say RetroMags (which I use for my Favorites) it just has <?xml version="1.0" standalone="yes"?> <LaunchBox> <BigBoxSettings> <GamesListView>TextListWithDetails</GamesListView> <PlatformsListView>TextListWithDetails</PlatformsListView> </BigBoxSettings> </LaunchBox> This seems to be storing the choice of what view I'm using it with, but not what I'm actually using it for Somewhere there must be a file which shows Favoites uses RetroMags, Platforms uses StationEmulation etc?

I currently have a different themes for a few different platforms, and my main platform wheels etc and I'd like to back up these options before trying out a new theme across everything - so I can easily revert Where is this information stored? Thanks!

If anyone else is looking for this I found a huge pack of "TTS Voices" on Archive.org I haven't tested many/any of them but I got Cortana voice working through regedit which will do nicely for me

Okay, so had a little time to troubleshoot myself - seems the portaudio settings I had (or in general?) don't play nice with the speech synthesis Changing my audio options to what I believe is the default after some googling (?) seems to work - for reference that is: sound auto audio_latency 1 However- while this at least now works at startup, it does not work at pause when used in conjunction with Launchbox pause screen - I'm unsure if there is a workaround for this?

I see I'm using Windows and I have US / UK voices, is there some way to get others? - is there a way to make the servo stik actions prior to the control announcement voices? If there a lot of controls I can already be taking actions before they're finished reading out

Unsure actually, will try RetroArch tomorrow when I'm back at machine - Mame is my primary use case on the machone It's quite odd that it picks back up, I'm surprised that it picks back up - I'd expect it to carry on behind the priority audio (if that is whats happening!)

I'm trying for the first time to get my control audio working with Mame and I have something very odd If I leave it as default (kicks in at zero seconds) then i get one control (maybe two) announced and then it freezes when the game fully loads (usually leaving one of the buttons in a flashing state) Then, when I exit the game it finishes off the announcement... Do you know why this might be? FWIW, I am also unable to get the pause version working - it seems like it wants to work, but it gives static instead of anything useful!

I have a very odd issue which I'm sure I've seen people mention before but darned if I can find the posts... My pause screens work absolutely fine if I launch games from Launchbox - I've been spending time setting up there as you'd expect and everything works as I would expect However, if I launch from BigBox (which is my goal on the arcade cab), pause screens do not work on either Mame or Retroarch... the game pauses but the overlay does not show BigBox vs LB is the only differentiator here, nothing else changes... Any thoughts how to troubleshoot?
