How To Get Launchbox to use Retroarch for Arcade Games

Does anyone here use launchbox and big box for playing arcade games? I’m able to link retroarch with snes, and sega genesis through launchbox but for some reason the arcade games won’t boot up when I use retroarch.

Have you added "Arcade" as a associated platform in the tab in Manage Emulators/Retroarch?

Some games don't work with MAME and I have to use FB Alpha or something, how can I set game specific emulators with retroarch?

The easiest method is to setup a 2nd Retroarch emulator in Launchbox, it can still use the same install of Retroarch, no need to install a 2nd copy. Name the 2nd instance something that makes sense as to what it is for, then set the Arcade platform to use the FBA core and then edit each game you want to use with that core and change the emulator to use the new 2nd RA emulator entry.
