cachito99
Sorry if this has been asked before. When I use the import game wizard and it is finished, I end up with a system name such as "Sega Genesis" in the system list. When I try to edit that system name to "Sega - Genesis" it doesn't load the roms in that system anymore. Is there a proper way to do this without messing up all the imported games? Thnx
dragon57
Assuming you are editing the name under Edit Platform? If so, make sure you also change the 'Associated Platform' name the emulator references under Manage Emulators. See the pic below.
neil9000
Also if you are having Launchbox move the roms to its folder on import, and then change the platform name it will make new image and Games folders for the newly named platform, so you will probably need to move your roms as well. The easiest way to do this though is just type the platform name you actually want to use in the import wizard. So in this case you would call the platform Sega - Genesis, and as that is not a standard name launchbox will show a "scrape as" dropdown so choose genesis there. You can name platforms whatever you like, and just use the "scrape as" to make sure it gets the correct images.
