Older versions you had downloaded before should still be in a folder called Updates. You can just run the one you need. Are you having issues with a current version?

yes, i the new version keeps auto populating my roms

Not sure what you mean by that? Launchbox can only import when you tell it to. Can you clarify? The only time it will auto-populate something is a playlist that is set to "auto" versus "manual" population.

i download the new version and when i start it up the white  screen comes up. then tells me that my license is up. then all my mame games populate on the launchbox screen.

If you have games on a fresh install you must be installing to a location you previously used for Launchbox and there is data still there. Launchbox does not auto add any platforms, that would be a rather silly thing to do or to assume the user wants, you have to add platforms yourself.
