8bitopa
I currently have all of my roms in a a folder on my regular desktop and LB is in my documents by default. I want to move everything to an external drive this weekend. I'm assuming I will need to start from scratch with fresh installs of LB and emu's onto the external. Is there a way to move them without starting over?
DOS76
yes based on how you imported it may be as simple as copying everything to the new drive and it may just work. Worst case scenario you may have to point LB to your emulator paths again. Edit a random game and if the path to the game is in a relative format then you are good to go. 8bitopa
Fingers crossed then. It won't be the end of the world if I have to start over. Just a few hours setup I'd rather avoid.
DeadVoivod
Instead of pointing LB to the correct paths again, which can be cumbersome, I just edit the corresponding .xml file and replace f.ex. c:\ with e:\ or whatever your external drive letter might be. Works also fine replacing c:\ with f.ex. e:\games\...
DOS76
That is what I do for game paths if they need to be edited for emulators I only use a few so I just do it in the UI.
