BigWaveDave
Hi: Just upgraded to 10.6. Now whenever I select the 'back' button, regardless of how deep I am in the hierarchy, BigBox shuts down. I can drill down fine, no matter when or where I try to back up, it shuts down. Based on the log, it looks like it's theme related. I'm running Unified Redeux v1.2 for 2 years now with no problems until this build. Looks to me like png theme files are searched for first, then it looks for jpgs. But when it gets to looking for jpgs, the first pat of the filename is missing. So seems like a bug... but I don't have enough visibility to know for sure. See the attached Log file for details. Since I can't 'back' into the BigBox main menu and change the theme... Where are these settings stored? Can I edit a file manually to force a theme change to see if it resolves the issue? Any help would be appreciated... Debug 2019-10-22 02-37-56 PM.zip

Debug 2019-10-22 02-37-56 PM.zip 2.78 kB · 1 download Sounds like your "back" button is set to close the program. Have a look in Launchbox/Data folder at the bigboxsettings.xml and see if you can find a line that closes bigbox, if so remove the assigned key and save it, then test bigbox again. BigWaveDave
And there you have it. So Back and Exit were both set to button '2'. 1. It was not like this prior to the upgrade... so not sure what's going on there, but it broke my setup so that's not great. 2. The 'Exit' option is not displayed anywhere in the Controller/Mapping screen which would have made it easy to spot. Thanks for the help! The controller section was completely overhauled recently and is now much more versatile and customizable than before. The "Exit" Bigbox option is clearly marked in the options for controller mappings.
BigWaveDave
Correction... BigBox kept rewriting that entry with the back button mapping. I had to edit InputBindings.xml to get it stop completely...
BigWaveDave
How does one get into that options menu? All I get is this...

BigWaveDave
Well.... haha. Here's the catch22... I could never get there in BigBox because that would require me to use the Back button...

The buttons for Bigbox are stored there, while the buttons for Launchbox are stored in the inputbindings.xml.
BigWaveDave
I'll agree that it's quite odd. However, here is my unmodified InputBindings.xml Without changing <BigBoxExit> to None, it was still shutting down even though I had modified BigBoxSettings.xml Why would a LaunchBox config file contain values for BigBox assuming there's a separate BigBoxSettings file? Jason Carr
I can explain some of this, at least. I still don't know why some people are seeing duplicate bindings after upgrading, though. @BigWaveDave If you can zip up and PM me your data folder, I might be able to get that figured out. But InputBindings.xml basically replaces the previous controller mapping options. The BigBoxSettings.xml controller settings are no longer used (they're only used to create a new InputBindings.xml file if it doesn't exist).
