Hi.

Why are images suddenly not showing in Launchbox, So i just booted up Launchbox and found out that there are a nice amount of cover-images not showing up on my NES platform. This is something that at some point always seems to happen in these 3 years i been using Launchbox (It always happens sooner or later).

So i wanted to ask if there is something you can do to prevent this from happening, Maybe placing images somewhere or somehow backing them up???.

Most of the covers missing are funny enough from homebrew games and not original NES titles.

Are they actually missing from the folders or is it a case LB is just not showing them?

Most of them have no covers attached when i look under edit (They are just empty), but i know i added them a couple of days ago, But all of the media are still in their folders in launchbox

Well i don't hope it happens again, Had to redo almost 90 images. Now i decided to make a restore backup whenever i complete a platform.

BTW!!

Will it work if i remove a backup restore archive and add it again later in Launchbox?, It's easier to keep a track of if you give them a custom name and store them somewhere else for later use.

Will it work as long as the folder structure is the same??.

Not really sure I understand. "Remove a backup restore archive"?

Are you talking about removing one of the backup files from the \Launchbox\Backups folder?

Yes!! Exactly that.

Instead of time and date, You could give it a custom name.

You can move it where you want and name it what you want. Its just a backup file only there when you need it. All the matters is if you ever use it to restore it has to be named exactly as the platform xml file is named.

Also make sure in the \Launchbox\Data\Platforms folder you never store backup xml files there. Especially if you name it after the platform, such as Arcade_Backup.xml. That will cause Launchbox to try and read both files. Backups should not be store the data folder if the file name contains the platform's name.
