Clean up medie - file not in use?

When I run the clean up media, it shows me a lot of files that are marked "file not in use". Can I safely remove those?

Yes. Those are files that 0 games in your library point to and should be safe to delete if you do not plan to re-add those games later.

I shows me basically only with Amiga games which I only added recently, around 1.000 games. It shows me that it are those files, why would they not be in use?

Did you manually add the images to the folder? Typically if the game IS in your library but the file IS NOT in use it is because the file isn't named correctly so LaunchBox doesn't know to use it.

Automatically added. Games show images correctly.

After investigating further, I found out that those files are also kind of duplicates. I checked f.ex. for game A1 and found image box_3d_a1.png under Images\3DBoxArt of that platform. If you then check under the folder f.ex. Images\3DBoxArt\World of that same platform, there's exactly the same file existing. So LB decides which one of those it takes, the one from the root Images folder, or the one in said region folder, thus making one of them obsolete, duplicate.
