If there are artworks missing for super rare games, no problem, but I'm doing a Best of Games playlist, and it'll be great if it's artworks are complete. I added Aerofighters 2 for the Neo Geo AVS to my collection, and there is artwork in the launchbox db, but it's not downloading, this is the case for some other games, too. How can I fix this? schwabbendebibap Posted August 24, 2020 Author Share Posted August 24, 2020 I set it to "Scrape As Arcade", then I did "Refresh All Media", but it still does not work, maybe I have to delete the Neo Geo AES Images first? And will it download the Arcade artworks then? Because the Neo Geo AES is in the database, I'd like to use it's original artworks, not the Arcade artworks, wheter it's just the Arcade version on a cartridge or not. Refresh simply refreshes the image cache. You need to rerun the Media downloader. Right click that game and edit it. I did this for Aero Fighters 2, but although I scraped it as Arcade, no artworks are shown when I click "Download Media". Finally I'd like to use the original Neo Geo AES artworks, and because there are only these few artworks missing, it wouldn't be a problem to do it manually. Deb Posted July 12, 2023 Share Posted July 12, 2023 (edited) I had the same problem (media not downloading for some known Genesis ROMs) and figured out how to fix it. Go to LaunchBox game DB site and find the game. Copy it's title. Go to metadata editor (select game and press CTRL+E), then paste copied title instead of the title that is filled in (you'll notice it's slightly different), select relevant variant from the dropdown, press button to the right of the textbox ("Update metadata" or something like that).
