CaptD
Some fields have been disabled because Emulation is active. Win10 LaunchBox 11.3 (premmium user) I'm a longtime user of LaunchBox and have more than one installation of LB that I currently maintain. This error showed up this evening and I've never seen it before. It's on every platform that I try to edit. I had just completed installing Tekno Parrot and needed to edit the individual game settings to make the games launch/work. Note: I set LB up on another drive with no issues same PC,,, same version of LB and don't get this error. Note: I don't have any emulators running, nothing in the background and as I stated above it's only on this installation and it's my favorite any help would be greatly appreciated
Retro808
That's not an error. It is because those platforms use an emulator and the other 3 fields in the view are disabled when you use an emulator. If you have any games/pc games that launch from an exe you will see those fields are not disabled. Not sure why you have the same build on a different drive not show it. All the cabinets and the one I am building now show that. I cannot remember the exact version but I believe that showed up when the game edit screens changed. Here is a shot of a Mame rom and a PC game.
CaptD
It's a strange one, I deleted my first try at Tekno Parrot which worked and I was able to edit those fields to make the games launch. So, it did work and I was able to edit the fields. I keep working at the current one which stopped working for reason (gotta be my fault). In any case I copied the Tekno Parrot.xml from the working version on another drive and I can edit the needed fields to complete the installation. I have no idea what I may have messed up or did wrong. we can mark this one as Solved. If I can help in any way I will if you need more info. Retro808
Glad you are sorted, but curious how you are setting up TeknoParrot you need to edit those fields. I have a bunch of games running in TP and do not use those fields, plus they are greyed out since I am using TeknoParrotUI.exe as the emulator. Below is pretty much how all my TP games are set and running.
neil9000
Same here. Im using the user profile though, not a txt file.
Retro808
Huh, just noticed that. I think the .txt was left over from when I had my original games ran through RocketLauncher. Guess I will change it. This way I remember to not to do the .txt thing on the new games.
CaptD
I used the text files as a way to import the games into LB. I still needed a way to point the .xml file. As I said above when I used a different .xml file everything worked. After reading back through your posts and neil9000 it makes want to go through it all over again if there is a better way. You just point to the xml file in the game edit screen.
