SoundersStriker
Do folks tend to prefer running Mame emulator directory (within Launchbox) or Mame through Retroarch ? Sorry if this is a n00b question, I just couldn't find a good answer for it

Headrush69
Standalone for me too Simple reason for me is MAME with static IDs is easier to deal with my huge collection of input devices. Maybe it has become easier with Retroarch MAME than it used to be, but not worth trying if it doesn't add anything extra I don't already have with stand alone. Edit: Plus, it might be just because of the recent hacking and being behind, but Retroarch MAME is still on 0.222 if that matters for a recent improvement you might need. SoundersStriker
Thanks this is the answer I was looking for. I really appreciate the thoughtful response. I think I am going to use the stand alone as well. Seems like easier to troubleshoot issues as well
