Mame Questions

I have Mame .228. I have a split set and a non merged set.

I ran the Mame Full Set Rom Import Rom option on the Non Merged set.

But i have a few issues one is i want Budwieser Tapper not Root Beer Tapper. Also i want Burgertime non Decco version. 

 

What the best way to import my mame games? Should i just load the mame Split version?

 

Also what version works the best with Sega Model 2 and naomi rom for othe remulators

If you only want one set of roms and not waste drive space by having a non merged set I would only keep a split set. Non Merged is only good if you want to pull out smaller individual rom set by hand but is double the drive space.

I do like the categories the Mame Full Set Rom Import option created. Is there a easy way to duplicate this

LB does that for split and merged as well, it uses mames database file.

most likely those other version of the game are just a right click away in the additional apps section to change the one that is the  facing game right click the game and go to the edit window from there look for the additional apps section and click on it from there find the proper rom click in that field and then select the make default button and it will make the necessary changes

how do I move the arcade categories around my mame categories are mixed in console and hand held. see attached file

i reoaded mame and it fixed it
