Chiturga
Whenever I try to launch any N64 ROM using Project64 I get this error with no text on it. If I launch PJ64 on it's own it works fine. I've used both the installer and zip file and the same thing happens. All app paths and emu paths are accurate. The ROMs are not in their zip format so I unchecked the "extract ROM archives before running" option. I'm using the latest PJ64 3.0.1. I've removed and re-added the emulator with the same results. (also can't seem to launch using mupen or retroarch, but my focus is on pj64 right now) So I'm really not sure what else I can do to fix this. Retro808
I just upgraded to this version as I do not use Project64 much and had no issues launching the game from LB/BB. Can you share a pic of what you are seeing. I know you said the error has no text, but pics are still helpful. Also share pics of your emulator settings from LB. In manage emulators edit PJ64. Show pic of Details tab and Associated Platforms tab.
Chiturga
I only had the option to post a url for the image (which did not work). Here you go.
Retro808
That looks like the error when you have not assigned your rom path within the PJ64 UI. I would double check that in PJ64. Also tick the PJ64 box in the LB screen. I know you said if you launch PJ64 on its own it is fine, is that with a game or just launching PJ64? Does checking that box in your second image that specifically references Project 64 fix it?
Chiturga
Ok so I opened the Game's Folder on a random ROM and it actually references the "snaps" folder within the n64 ROM folder. So basically it's only referencing mp4s. (the snaps folder is for my retropie setup). So I moved the snaps to another folder and reset the games folder under platform settings to the appropriate path, but when launching is says the path no longer exists. How do I get the ROMs to stop referencing that folder without setting each ROM individually?

Delete the platform and then then import the actual roms this time.
Chiturga
Ok I will do that then. I made sure to be very careful to not select the snaps folder so I'm not sure why it did that. I'll start it over.

Easiest way to import is to highlight the roms you want to import and drag and drop them to the Launchbox window.
Chiturga
That's probably the way to go. Using the "import ROMs" option based may have automatically treated the mp4 files as ROMs.

Launchbox is file agnostic, it doesn't care what the file types are, and doesn't have a list of what formats a systems roms should be in, it just imports exactly what you tell it to. It's on you to ensure you are actually importing working files.
Chiturga
I'm assuming if I had checked off the "no subfolders" option I would have been fine? My ROMs are .n64 and not ZIPs.

yogirlbelikingmyroms
When you first set up the emulator, make sure you select the same version of project64 that you have the install for. For example, on my computer it was the regular one (Project64 2.x.x) but i selected Project64 1.6. The place to change it is: Tools > Manage > Emulators. Delete your Project64 and try again.
