Change multiple roms from .zip to .md or .nes etc

Hey there,

I have always used .zip roms for genesis/master system/nes/snes and I have now unzipped them as this is best practice for stability apparently.

Is there a way I can bulk update the rom filenames from .zip to .md/.nes or whatever is needed for the system in question in launchbox so I don’t have to delete all roms and re import them and download the artwork?

cheers!

chris

What I've done in the past is the following:

1) Close LaunchBox and Big Box
2) Navigate to \\LaunchBox\Data\Platforms
3) Back up any file you are about to change (not needed but helpful)
4) Open the platform file you need to correct the extension to
5) Open the "Replace All" tool
6) Replace ".zip</ApplicationPath>" with ".nes</ApplicationPath>" (Both without quotes, and substitute the file extensions as needed
7) Save and close the file
8) Reopen LaunchBox
