DaMadDog1910
I just bought a preconfigured/preloaded 2 tb hyperspin drive that was supposed to be plug and play, but is definitely not. When i try to launch Launchbo× or BigBo×, i get an error message reading: Error, which ive discovered is some type of visual c++ issue from its 2002 version. My other frontends that came with the hyperspin(rocketlauncher, gamee×( I actually get a white screen running roms in gamee× as shown below as well),emubo×,ma×imusarcade, newretroarcade, etc) typically launch, but when i try to play a rom through a frontend, alot of the frontends say: cpwizard_path missing cpwizard enabled. Once again, ive searched everywhere for a way to either install or delete this cpwizard, to no avail. Now, i can run some of my hyperspin roms through Retroarch (or each individual emulator in the hyperspin files, but thats a huge pain), but i have quite a few more emulators (119) than retroarch has Cores. Luckily, the pc games run without an emulator ofc. If anyone knows anyway to help, please see it in your heart to do so. Thanks for your time and consideration men and ladies. OK, two things here, 1) We do not support illegal pre-built HDD's. 2) the error Launchbox is giving you is because you are using a pirated Launchbox license, to fix that you will need to purchase a legitimate license. DaMadDog1910
I paid $175 total for this thing, would have thought that would have paid for the license, smh. This is my gf's fault, i was ordering from hyperspin arcade systems themselves, she turned around and bought it off ebay. Thanks for the info and the link (and on the piracy thing, ive always at least paid for my roms(I have multiple handheld emulators as well), the original company may not have got my money this time, but with the amount ive spent on devices with included roms (which i don't truly need as i already had a ton of roms of my own),not to mention actual game consoles and games(just got a md/32x last week) my conscience is pretty clear id say. Plus, the hyperspin hd was a Christmas present from my gf, so not looking a gift horse in the mouth there lol. So pay the $30 and install new license in same fo;der right? They are also scams a lot of times, as you have discovered, you get a broken setup and no support from the seller. 6 hours ago, DaMadDog1910 said: Thanks for the info and the link (and on the piracy thing, ive always at least paid for my roms(I That is far more illegal than just downloading them though, someone who does not have the rights to the games selling them for cash, that's potential prison time right there, especially when Nintendo go so hard after people sharing there games. 6 hours ago, DaMadDog1910 said: have multiple handheld emulators as well), the original company may not have got my money this time, but with the amount ive spent on devices with included roms (which i don't truly need as i already had a ton of roms of my own),not to mention actual game consoles and games(just got a md/32x last week) my conscience is pretty clear id say. Those devices come from China, i have a couple myself, they are also illegally selling roms, but China doesn't care about copyright laws, but as soon as that device is in your country which does have copyright laws that's a different story. 6 hours ago, DaMadDog1910 said: This is my gf's fault, i was ordering from hyperspin arcade systems themselves, They have no affiliation with Hyperspin you know? They are just scammers making money off of the Hyperspin name. Hyperspin are just like us and make software, they do not sell or endorse buying roms in any way, shape, or form. As stated in my previous reply though, we do not support these drives, not only because of potential legal reasons, but also because we have no idea how the drive was setup and what other programs/scripts are being used, which makes troubleshooting nearly impossible.
