Jay1921 Posted December 15, 2021 Share Posted December 15, 2021 What is going on if a fully working 8TB system in Launchbox works super fast, all games work perfect, everything just perfect. Bigbox premium 12.5 cant even change settings with out "please wait" and the PC eventually sleeps after a long time. Then it just crashes to the desktop. Is it preloading the images for a few days to build a new database? I never installed bigbox I just loaded the license key. Possible I should reload launchbox or? Thanks, disappointed enough to go back to launchbox. Then again this is the noob forum and I am less then 2 days (Spare time) after day job trying to make a go if this> Happy to have supported DEV team regardless. Or did you acquire your drive with a bunch of emulators and roms already installed from another source? If it's the 2nd one I mentioned, you're likely in for a world of problems with your build. If it's the 1st choice, you may need to try a different theme which uses less ram, cpu, etc. Some themes in BigBox will generally lag like that in older, slower computers. Hopefully, this is not one of those 8TB drives from a rom seller. We typically offer little help on the forum for those. Regardless, if BB is struggling off the bat I would ask what is your specs for the pc the drive is used on. BB can be RAM heavy due to it being a WPF application and how much it loads to memory. On initial load BB does need to cache all the media so if you have a ton of games with media it can take a while. BB does not need to be installed it is already there when you download LB. All you would do in a fresh build is drop in your license after downloading LB and the BigBox exe will now work. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
