joelfabiani
Hey folks, Oit of curiosity, I read about the Android version being constantly outdated and stepped forward downloading directly from oficial website. But during initial setup I saw that RetroArch Plus is recommended. Should I step back and remove the sideloaded version using play store instead? Is there non-obvious advantages? Thank you

Thank you Did you mean constantly updated? Confused there. The sideloaded version of RetroArch is better than RetroArch Plus from the Play Store. We only recommend RetroArch Plus over the sideloaded version because it's easier for users to download.
joelfabiani
Yeah! I meant the Play Store version being constantly outdated in comparisson to the oficial one available on RA website. Thank you for explaining, I did the right thing for once installing the website version.
Nekki
Just come to say that I recommend using the sideloaded version of RA. I've been tinkering with LaunchBox on android with RA plus and the 64bits version. Firstly, you have a different and more extensive set of cores available. Second, some weird behaviors with cores in RA Plus. But third and more critical, RA Plus has limited access to external SD in Android 11, while I can access the SD card with the sideloaded version (64 bits).
