Lordmonkus
My first guess would be that when it is running on battery power it is throttling the performance.
JGuelff
That’s what I’m assuming as well. Trying to find out how to get around that I suppose.
Lordmonkus
Check the performance settings window and set it to performance mode when on battery power, this of course will drain the battery faster though.
neil9000
This is however one of the downfalls of using a laptop like that, it requires a lot of power, they should really be thought of as a desktop that can be easily moved rather than something that will run off of battery's. PS1 is probably using your GPU, while other platforms use only the CPU, so maybe the CPU is being clocked down when on battery power, there may be options for power usage on battery in the bios, if Acer chose to expose it that is, a lot of manufacturers lock that down though unfortunately.
