Serpent Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 (edited) How do I add or map a controller? I just go to Tools - Options - Game Controllers - Mapping, correct? It's blank, if this is the process. Controller is brand new and is recognized in Windows 10 game/environments but I don't see a way to map the buttons in Launchbox? I know the emulator sees it, cause something pops up saying "L-Tek Dance Pad PRO (1003/32833) not configured." So, where is the true configuration location? Edit: I plugged in an 8BitDo SN30pro gamepad, that populated as a XBox 360 Gamepad. It's just not seeing the other peripheral, unless there is another location for me to check/map. neil9000 Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 What sort of controller is it? It sounds like a dance mat, and that could well be using a non standard protocol, and retroarch can see something, but cant auto configure it either, so that tracks if its some unique thing. Quote

It is a dancemat, connected via USB. Quote
Serpent Posted April 2, 2022 Author Posted April 2, 2022 So, Retroarch and Windows sees it. Launchbox does not. Screenshot attached. I can work around it, by editing it in Retroarch first... Quote
Alumriel Posted May 30, 2022 Posted May 30, 2022 Was this resolved? I have a similar problem with my Logitech G923 racing wheel. It works fine in anything outside of Launchbox. I use it in MAME, Retroarch, Forza, etc... It's only Launchbox that doesn't see it. Quote

BarryWheresBarry Posted June 9, 2022 Posted June 9, 2022 I haven't tried my Logitech G29 in Launch Box yet, but i'm assuming i'll have the same issue? I'm building a racing sim and will eventually want to be able to navigate through big box using my racing wheel. If not, hopefully that's something Launch Box can fix in the future. Quote
zacbeynonator Posted October 5, 2024 Posted October 5, 2024 2 years late, but found out if you connect the controller, press ok, then go back to the options menu it should allow you to choose your button mapping Quote
