Should I get the EmuMovies game video themes for Bigbox use?

Scraping media now for MAME, and just got the lifetime membership for EmuMovies and have the lifetime Launchbox license. During import I left most everything checked for media scraping, but as I'm watching this huge download take place I'm wondering what the EmuMovies game video themes is actually for. Doesn't the video snap normally play to preview games in Bigbox, not the game theme video? I'm wondering if those are more for Hyperspin setups?

Just depends on how you want your set-up to look. Some BigBox themes look better with Game Theme Videos. Some may have views designed to take advantage of them. So it is not a case of should you get them, more of a case of how do you prefer your set-up to look.

Got it thanks. It's all done downloading, wasn't as bad as the progress bar made it seem. I'll explore some themes. Do you know if there is one similar to Hyperspin? That's what I had before, just made me switch

The Unified family of themes are probably closest to what you'd see in HyperSpin as far as I know. I've personally never used HyperSpin but I've seen a lot of previous HyperSpin users gravitate to those because of the similarities. Those themes DO tend to work better with Theme Videos than most themes so you'll want to plan accordingly.
