erdybirdy53.
Hi i am having issues when trying to update my Arcade64 to version 0.249, from 0.248. I updated my romset and have gone through the full mame arcade set importer but towards the end on the "Import MAME Arcade Full Set Wizard", whilst parsing, I get a message saying "Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1531437, position 1". I have pointed to the correct 249 romset folder and all the files are in there. This is the first time that it has happened to me and I have updated ok before. What am i doing wrong please? Thanks very much in advance for any help.
erdybirdy53.
Further to this, I have been looking back at previous topics and I do not use "Devreorder", as this was causing problems for some people. Thanks.
C-Beats
If the emulator you're pointing us to isn't MAME (and the correct version for your romset) I can see this being an issue. We ask the executable to produce a xml file we use to parse the data for the games you're importing. If not an official MAME release that command may not work, or may output data in a format that could cause issues.

Just tried this and kept media. When i run import full set again same message of "Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1531437, position 1", so no mame games at all now in Launchbox 😞

I have been using Arcade64 for a while now and have updated on several occasions.

Might be worth having a look through those and seeing if replacing it helps bring it back. Won't help with it not updating but at least it brings it back to where you were rather than leaving you with nothing.

Thanks yes I got my 0.248 romset back on Launchbox via a backup, but still can not update to 0.249. If anyone can throw any further light on this, it would be much appreciated.
