BIGBOX 13.2 Not Displaying. (Black Screen)

Hello,

I am having an issue with my BIGBOX 13.2 not displaying.

I can hear the startup sound, but I am only able to see a pure black screen & nothing else.

My Launchbox works perfectly.

I've uninstalled & reinstalled several times  but the issue still persists.

Are you getting any error messages pop up? If so can you post them? If not can you do the following:

1. Shut down Big Box
2. Open LaunchBox
3. Go to Tools > Options > Debugging and makes sure debug logs are enabled.
4. Press OK to save options and then close LaunchBox
5. Open Big Box, let the screen go black then kill the process
6. Navigate to \\LaunchBox\Logs\ and post the latest file in that folder here so I can review it.

@C-Beats Good Evening, Sorry for the late reply. I receive no error message. I've attached the log as requested.

Could one of you navigate to \\LaunchBox\Core\BigBox.dll and right click it and select Properties. Can you verify that at the bottom of the window there is nothing talking about unlocking the DLL, also could you make sure the file isn't set to read-only. If the file has either can you undo it (unlock the dll, and make sure readonly is off) and then run the installer again and see if the problem persists.

Well something is going on because that isn't the right size for 13.2 DLLs. Can you take this file and the installer you have and upload both to VirusTotal.com and let me know what hash you get for both files? Seems for some reason you may not have the correct files in your directory.

I have the same problem no error message reinstalled, uninstalled  running windows 11.  I hear initializing big box or somethings it doesn't complete then just closes no log file gets created.

Odd this popped up out of the blue for so many persons. Back on the 11th Windows updates rolled out 2 updates. Core and virus defs.

To test my theory uninstall KB5025239 and reboot. See if it works. If not then check defender to see if a bigbox DLL got flagged.

I don't even have that update installed.

Until some one can get my the VirusTotal url for the BigBox.dll I can't really move forward with this reported issue. It's very clear though that something is altering your files (whether it's you or something else on your machine) so until we can find out what is altering your files we can't really do much to help with the issue. The official product doesn't have this issue the fact that you are using files that aren't official is causing this issue.
