Set emulator for a Playlist?

Is this possible? i have MAME with CHDs, and want to add Sega Naomi,  Atomiswave, and a few others, but i want to have the two options, 1 is open it with MAME, and other with Flycast or other emulator, but using the sames rom files

I has make a Playlist with only Naomi games, but i cant define for this playlist a emulator.

Anyone have idea how i can do it? The only thing i think i can do is select manually the games for Naomi and then make a new platform and define the emulators there, is this the only way?

You can't associate an emulator to a playlist.  But you can associate it a platform and just un-check Default Emulator.

You'll now have the option to manually which emulator to use but will default to the original emulator.

To set the default emulator to use for games that are in a specific Playlist:

  • Select your [Naomi] playlist.
  • Select all games in that playlist. (click on 1 of them, then press Ctrl+A to select all)
  • Press Ctrl+E.  This will open the Bulk Edit Wizard.
  • Click Next.
  • In Field, Select Emulator.
  • In Value, select the emulator you want the selected games in that playlist to use as-default.

I has try to do this, and if i select RetroArch does not work because retroarch dont load the Core, and i cant find a way to make it possible.
The only way is to create a new, retroarch emulator with the parameters for Flycast only, is a litle be tricky but it  works, the only bad is you can't have the option to load it in MAME or Retroarch directly from bigbox.
In the future add would be great if add the option to asign a emulator for a playlist.

Thanks :P

Make sure in BB you have either "View Game Details" as an active setting (which means when you select a game the "game details" page will appear before you actually launch the game) or have a button/key mapped to the option to "View Game Details". The Game Details screen gives you the option to select multiple emulators tied to a platform to launch the game with.

You should not need a separate RA. In your Retroarch set-up in LB did you make sure to add the platform name to the Associated Platform tab and select the correct core for that platform?
