Hi all, i recently got a gpd win 4 and I'm considering bigbox as front-end UI. The only concern I have is whether it has any performance impact when gaming. Aside from space on disk for videos/Metadata /artwork, does it consume system resources during gameplay?

LaunchBox and Big Box is designed to take up as little resources as possible during gameplay. Try out the free version of LaunchBox and see how it feels when you launch a game. I'm pretty sure Big Box takes up less resources than LaunchBox does, so if you are okay with LaunchBox you should be good with Big Box.

Also worth noting that Windows itself will push any RAM usage the app (or any other app) is using to the page file if it isn't the active application and the OS needs the memory the app is sitting on. This act of moving it to the page file the first time IS slower but after that first time the memory stays in the page file until you return to the app and so wouldn't affect performance after that.
