Elhora
Hi everyone. I have trouble launching games in RetroarchPlus from launchbox on my Nvidia Shield. Games starts well when i directly use RetroarchPlus. But from launchbox, i have a black screen. Emulator seems to be well configured in LB (good emulator and core selected, and when i make a configuration test LB says everything is ok...) Really dont know what the problem can be Edited June 1, 2023 by Elhora

All launch well directly from Retroarch, but none works when i launch them from Launchbox Android, with correct emulator and core in the settings... I dont have any error message, just a black screen.
faeran
Most of those are fairly straight forward to set up and play, so it's tough to know what the issue may be. If you have the ability, try and download the version of RetroArch from their website, as it's possible that the version on the google play store may have some quirks on the device you are using. After doing that and it still doesn't work, let's focus on something simple, like one SNES game. Make sure that SNES game works inside of the new version of RetroArch, and that you know which core you have downloaded within RetroArch itself. Then post the name of that core here, along with screenshots of the game's Edit Game page, the full Startup File path, and the Emulator settings page. The core in Retroarch is SNES9x (current). It works fine from Retroarch -> (i've tested Actraiser) Still black screen when launching from Launchbox
faeran
A few things you can check: The screenshot is still showing you using RetroArch Plus. You should change that to RetroArch (64-bit Sideloaded) The Snes9x core you have selected is called the following in RetroArch: Nintendo - SNES / SFC (Snes9x - Current). Make sure that's the one you have downloaded in RetroArch, as I know there's quite a few different Snes9x cores you can download. Double check to make sure the Actraiser ROM is still in the location listed in your screenshot Also make sure you have completely closed RetroArch and then try to launch it again from LaunchBox

Still working from Retroarch but black screen from launchbox. I didn't move any rom from the directory i imported them. And they are still there. I've loaded them from my computer to the usb storage of my Nvidia Shield with FX file Manager and directly imported the roms in Launchbox. Nothing more nothing less. Didn't touched anything after import.

kelmin73
I am having the same problem as the OP and following the same procedure. I am only trying to play NES roms. I have tried multiple cores, but still the same issue. Just getting the black screen.
aeronnav109
I had the same problem... you need to change the emulator settings in launchbox to match the core you are using in retroarch
