arthur03k
Hi, I'm trying to import my G&W roms to Launchbox, but the import wizard doesn't appear to recognise the zip file names. I'm using the new MAME rom zips (rather than the previous *.mgw simulation files), but can't get the Launchbox import wizard to recognise the gnw_*.zip file names and match up with the correct game title. Has anybody come across this problem before and able to offer a solution? Many thanks.
JoeViking245
Tools - Import - ROM Files When selecting (or entering your custom name for) the platform, be sure to set the Scrape As value to Arcade. [assuming you select MAME as your emulator] Also be sure to uncheck Skip non-arcade games
arthur03k
Hi - many thanks for your response. I appear to be missing the "Scrape as" box, but the 'Skip non-arcade games' option was the culprit and after unchecking that my import worked. Cheers!
damageinc86
Mine successfully imported, artwork is showing,...but it won't launch mame for some reason. Everything is pointing to the correct folders. I can launch outside of launchbox. But nothing happens from within launchbox. EDIT: Weird,...I added the system to Rocketlauncher, and set up the emulator on that side, and it launches it just fine. No idea why Launchbox wasn't able to. Unless you've added your ROM path into mame.ini, it may be a matter of adding to the default command-line parameters: -rompath %romlocation% You most likely already have both boxes checked.
