Launchbox crashes on startup / Object Reference Not Set Error

I'm getting this. tried the above work around but did not work, any suggestions?

 

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Can you try to go to Tools > Download > Force update games database (or something similar, don't have app open atm). This should grab the newest metadata file and hopefully correct.
