Barny1100
Hello question I installed Launch and Bigbox with Mame SNES and Sega Roms👍 And until recently everything was fine. But now all games stutter in MAME sound and picture? But only if I start MAME in Launchbox or Bigbox If I start a game in Mame directly without LB or BB everything runs smoothly and without problems. 🤷♀️ What could be the problem? Mini PC Fujitsu Q910 Intel Core i5-3470T with SSD and 16GB RAM Windows 10 64 bit But as I said, until a few days ago Mame also ran smoothly in Bigbox and Launchbox? Does anyone have an idea what I can check? Thanks
Retro808
Did you update Mame in LB recently? Can you post a pic of your details page for Mame. >Tools >Manage >Emulators and edit Mame. Post a pic of the first tab.
Barny1100
No, I have been using the latest MAME 0.261 since installation

Hy I've already tried unpacking the ROM before starting but then the game no longer opens.. But just a short window of the MAME emulator that says Unknown System "u68" Edited February 3 by Barny1100
Retro808
You cannot unpack mame roms. They need to always stay zipped. In that image under the Default Command lines can you remove the line below and then test and see if it makes a difference. -waitvsync

Retro808
Yes. I understood that. What I was saying was basically do not check that box. That box unzips the roms and you cannot do that with Mame. Can you try what I mentioned to test.
Barny1100
Yes, as I said, I was just trying to see if it would do anything if I hacked it... It's not picked up again. But unfortunately the picture and sound are still jerky in the Launchbox/BigBox But if I remove the two ticks under the standard command line (blue), Mame doesn't start either? JoeViking245
@Barny1100 Retro808 has been trying to suggest to you, that you remove -waitvsync from your command-line parameters.
Barny1100
Oh thank you I guess I misunderstood🙄 the word “under” the command line... So in the command line 🤦♀️ I should remove the command wayts.... thanks for the explanation I'll try it right away Edited February 3 by Barny1100
Barny1100
Thanks for your patience, removing Waytsink seems to have worked.....? I'll have to test it again thoroughly tomorrow Thank you 🙃
Barny1100
Too early, it only seems to work properly in Launchbox?🥴 But when I start it again in BigBox the stuttering (like echo) is back?🤷♀️ I guess I'll have to test further...🥴 Maybe someone has an idea why it works without stuttering in Launchbox but not in BigBox?🤷♀️ Edited February 3 by Barny1100
Barny1100
Maybe someone else has a tip for me? As I said, Mame runs in Launchbox without sound or picture echoes But as soon as I start it in BigBox all games have an echo (stuttering) effect? It was almost as if Launchbox was executing all instances of a MAME version at once because things were stuttering and echoing. Now that is resolved! Thanks, Barny1100!
