Some game logos not displaying in Launchbox

Recommended Posts

I audited my original Xbox system and all games have a match from the database.  However several games are not displaying their logos in Launchbox.  I was wondering where I go in the settings for a game to manually associate it with the logo image?  1 example is "Bloody Roar Extreme".  I cannot see the logo/game name when scrolling through all the Xbox games.  It does appear in the list as plain text but the actual more fancy-looking logo image doesn't appear.  I hope I'm explaining this in a way where someone would understand.  I'm pretty new to Launchbox.  If I right-click the game and go to edit metadata/media, I can see the logo file under Media/Images.  It is image 5 of 8 and has the title of Banner.  Thanks in advanced for any help.  It looks like I have several of these that need fixing for just this system.  So I assume I'll have more to fix for other systems as well.  A couple other examples are "Halo 2: Multiplayer Map Pack" and "The King of Fighters: Maximum Impact Maniax".

Thank you C-Beats.  And for those also having the problem here is the reply via email:

You can either use one of the two "missing media" methods, or you can add them manually.

Missing Media:
  • Click on the Filter Dropdown and go to the Games Missing Media section, click on Games Missing Clear Logos, highlight them all, then go to Tools > Download > Update Metadata and Media
  • Go to Tools > Audit > All Games (or a specific platform), then click on the Clear Logo header to sort by games with/without an image. Select all the ones missing an image and run the Tools > Download > Update Metadata Media wizard
On a per-game basis, you can edit a specific game, go to its Images section, click on the Download Media button and it will check our database for available images.

If we don't have an image for a specific game, you can add it manually. Edit any game, go to its Images section, and drag/drop an image into there, then adjust the images "Image Type" to clear logo.

Posted (edited)

I downloaded the logo pack for Xbox from EmuMovies, found the file I needed for a game and put it in the Launchbox\Images\Microsoft Xbox\Clear Logo folder on my computer.  I changed the file name to match the Launchbox database.  It fixed the issue for the 1st game so I will go try to do the same for the other 3-games.  It looks like the only game that EmuMovies doesn't have a logo for is "Knight's Apprentice".  I just decided to delete that game as it doesn't have very good reviews anyway.

Sounds like you already deleted the game but I went ahead and created a logo anyways. Maybe I caught you in time!
