Pineappleking
I did the update to 13.06. but the problem is still there, for me. Show missing bios-folder for retroarch/system/pcsx2, but its there... π’
Hussy jake
The issue reported in the Launchbox forum regarding the PS2 Bios (LINK to bios REMOVED) appears to be a bug related to how the software verifies the BIOS path. A user named Santherus noted that while they have the correct BIOS files in the expected directory, Launchbox incorrectly indicates that the BIOS is missing. This discrepancy arises because Launchbox seems to be referencing the folder name as "bios'" instead of "bios," potentially causing a path verification error.Β Despite this issue, the user mentioned that they can still launch their ROMs using the "Play anyway" option, indicating that the functionality is not entirely impaired. The user has raised this concern for the Launchbox team to investigate further, suggesting that it may be a simple path naming confusion within the software's verification. Santherus
Just as a confirmation/summary; the actual issue of the incorrect reporting of the BIOS isn't resolved: There's the below option (noted by the devs) as a sort-of-workaround. Not one for me, but YMMV. "Update is already out. You canΒ just check the box to not show the BIOS error in LaunchBox if you don't want LB to warn you about stuff like that. No functionality has changed in this version once you check that box and ignore the feature." Edited September 17 by Santherus

You can change it to "all files" from the Binary Folder to display the .bin files but get the attached error code when clicking any of the files. Thanks for the screenshots. The error with .bin files could be due to wrong or unrecognized BIOS. I recently downloaded BIOS from psbios.com and they worked perfectly. Make sure you have the correct version for your region and check the folder structure. Try running Retroarch directly to see if it recognizes the BIOS, and ensure everything is up to date. Good catch on the bios' vs bios name. I will test that tomorrow!Β

If it is still an issue I will try the psbios site. I have tried multiple different downloads suspecting one may be corrupt, but no luck. I believe as of now I have them launching through pcsx2 emulator through lb but I'll double check. I have a lot of systems loaded πΒ

If not, definitely give the ((REMOVED)) files a try they worked flawlessly for me. Itβs easy to miss small issues with so many systems loaded! π Let me know how it goes, and good luck with the setup!
