Vader
A few days ago I read @faeran's October 25th comment on the beta forum which I think really explains the current state of Launchbox. As users we need to remember that the Launchbox team has other priorities aside from Launchbox. They have family, work, school etc. So, it would be impossible for them to work on Launchbox 24/7. What they have brought us up to know is a very good product, probably one of the best emulator frontends on the market. For that Thank you!!!. With that said, I would like to address some things that many of us here are probably thinking about but have not said out loud. 1. For a paid product, Launchbox needs to be a bit more refined. Although we are here to help you beta test new releases, I think more internal testing needs to be done, prior to release. I think most of us would agree that it is very frustrating that with almost every new bata release, something unrelated to the bata almost always breaks. Then you have to waste time going back to fix what should not have been broken in the first place. 2. Add video downloads as part of the paid version of Launchbox. Asking users to pay upwards of 75.00 for Launchbox and then an additional $20 for access to emumovies is a little excessive. I understand that you are probably trying to help emumovies generate a little income, but you have to also think of the user. I know there are ways to import download videos, etc, but this should be the exemption not the rule. Screenscraper should be added to Launchbox as an option. And yes I understand why you refuse to add screenscraper to Launchbox. 3. Temporarily pause adding any new feature to Launchbox and please concentrate on fixing and/or investigating the many issues that users have reported that have not been resolved. New features are great but not at the expense of lingering issues not being addressed. 4. Fix Launchbox for Android. There are many issues that need to be addressed, which have not been addressed. The UI could use an overhaul (this might be wishful thinking), and functionality could use little work. 5. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Your hard work is apricated Finally, just remember, minor little annoyances, like what I have mentioned here can make a big difference between a user wanting to stay with and financially support Launchbox or them switching to other emulator frontends. I have said my peace, May the Force Be With You!!
