RifffyDivine Posted Saturday at 08:54 PM Posted Saturday at 08:54 PM (edited) Does anyone know how to do this, currently it always defaults to a mini touch screen I have just to keep my system stats up. I am unable to move it or even get a game to launch in windowed mode to drag it myself. I should add when I run the game via retroarch it is fine, the issue is only when I let launchbox or bigbox launch the game for me. Edited Saturday at 08:56 PM by RifffyDivine Quote

For MAME, edit mam.ini and under the OSD PER-WINDOW VIDEO OPTIONS section, set the screen value to the appropriate output. Quote

Does this need to be done for every system I want to play or just mame? Quote

It varies and depends on the emulator. When I initially replied, you hadn't specified which emulator was causing the issue. So I just picked one. For systems RetroArch emulates, it should be just one setting [in RetroArch] for all systems. 50 minutes ago, RifffyDivine said: I should add when I run the game via retroarch it is fine, the issue is only when I let launchbox or bigbox launch the game for me. LaunchBox wouldn't be telling it which monitor to display on. I'm not real knowledgeable about RetroArch and wouldn't know where to begin to make it show on a different monitor. Hopefully someone else can chime in with some ideas. Quote

Just got a chance to try it and yeah it still opens on monitor 2 with 1 set in the ini file. Quote

How Windows sees monitors and how emulators (and frontends) see them can be 2 different things. Try changing the '1' to '2'. Depending on how the emulator notes them, monitor 1 could be noted as monitor 0 (zero). (Probably not likely. But anything's possible) Quote
midd Posted Saturday at 11:23 PM Posted Saturday at 11:23 PM (edited) Came to ask a similar question when I found this one. So I’ll add my question here. It seems like every time I boot up, my display order gets changed. I have three monitors that I use with the third screen plugin. Windows keeps the order in the display settings. However Mame is currently launching on my marquee screen instead of my main screen. And I change it each time in OSD setting in the .ini setting. And the display number in third screen plugin changes. I think the current config is display 5, display 6 and display 7. EDIT: found this thread and am giving it a try. Hopefully this works. Hamburglin Posted Sunday at 08:35 PM Posted Sunday at 08:35 PM (edited) So strange that I created that almost a year ago and no one said anything. It seems to be getting attention in the past couple days, though. If you can't get it to work, post in that thread and I'll try to help! Edited Sunday at 08:35 PM by Hamburglin Quote
