RVZ Posted Wednesday at 08:38 AM Posted Wednesday at 08:38 AM I'm busy building an arcade cabinet with an LCD placed vertically, but I'm only using the center square part of the screen, so basically the resolution of the area I'll be using will be 2160 x 2160 (1:1 aspect ratio). The closest theme I'm getting for this is the 4:3 aspect ratio themes, which then still leaves black bars on top and bottom. So I'm either looking for an actual 1:1 theme, or trying to find out if there is an easy enough way to modify an existing theme to display at 1:1. Any suggestions on how to do this? Or existing themes that I maybe missed? Quote
blattacker Posted yesterday at 06:08 AM Posted yesterday at 06:08 AM I don't have a 1:1 aspect ratio to test it on, but my theme Sleipnir was coded to be fully responsive, and should, in theory, resize correctly on a 1:1 aspect screen, if you'd like to give it a try! If it doesn't work, let me know, I can work on getting it to respond correctly! Quote

Thanks, but the problem is that the screen is running fullscreen, so 9:16 aspect ratio, so I want to force the aspect ratio on the theme to display 1:1 and have the top and bottom parts just black. Since you are not actually running 1:1 aspect ratio and are just forcing the theme into a specific area of a 9:16 aspect ratio you might need to edit a theme and adjust the grids of the canvas so the footprint of the theme only shows in the area you want. I am not the most knowledgable in coding, but that is exactly what I did when making custom views for my marquee screens (9:16 aspect screen and I used only the upper 1/3 of the screen to show a marquee image).
