jeffcmusic Posted Wednesday at 09:08 AM Posted Wednesday at 09:08 AM Hi All, I'm new to LB, but I think I have the hang of it for the most part. I'm just having one issue I can't seem to figure out and was hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction. I have successfully installed WWF Legends 64 using the Project 64 Emulator as stand alone. But I would like to add it as a launch able game via LB. I followed this tutorial I found on YT At first I managed to get it imported but when I tried to start the game, I got an error message saying that I needed to select an emulator as the one which is selected doesn't exitst. I removed the game and emulator from LB in order to try again, but now during the rom import wizard, once I get past the emu movies section it states that 0 games are ready to import. The steps I took: 1. added an emulator, path to project 64.exe (within the LB/emulators/wwf legends/project 64) 2. associated platform - Nintendo 64 3. import rom, selected the wwf legends application file, found in the wwf challenge root folder which is in the LB emulator folder. I have also tried this process using the 'start-wwf-with-sound.bat' file too, as I saw on a RGT85 setup tutorial - as that was the file he used to start the game, however this just returned an empty error box. Thanks Jeff 1 Quote
Retro808 Posted Wednesday at 11:43 AM Posted Wednesday at 11:43 AM Since the importer is showing "0" it looks like when you removed the game it did not get removed. The "0" usually denotes a game already exists of that name. So best thing to do is reimport and select the option for "Force Import Duplicate". I just tested importing this rom and the custom emulator and had no issue. If you import again and get the emulator error right click and edit the game and double check in the "emulation" tab that the emulator is selected there. 1 Quote

jeffcmusic Posted Thursday at 09:31 AM Author Posted Thursday at 09:31 AM (edited) Thanks for the replies. I tried to import it again and still no luck. if you have time could you please have a look at the screen grabs to see if I'm missing something please? Please note, I did have to redo the import as I renamed the 'run wwf legends.exe' to remove the 'run' part, but other than that the same process was used. The last screen grabs is what project 64 shows after being opened using LB. It doesn't seem to have the rom Thanks jeff Edited Thursday at 09:33 AM by jeffcmusic Quote
Solution Headrush69 Posted Thursday at 09:58 AM Solution Posted Thursday at 09:58 AM (edited) Seems you are passing the exe to Project64 and not a rom file, hence why it won't load. I downloaded this game (so cool BTW), but you have to use the included file start-wwf-with-music-tool.bat to start. So pick the game in LB, right click and choose Edit Metadata. In the launching section, pick that BAT file as the file to start. Now go to the emulation section and turn OFF use emulator. Should launch fine now. Edited Thursday at 10:24 AM by Headrush69 1 Quote
Retro808 Posted Thursday at 11:04 AM Posted Thursday at 11:04 AM As mentioned by Headrush69 you imported the exe file and that will not work. However, I do not think you need to use the bat file soley, as you can also use the z64 rom. If you follow the video you linked you see he imports the file highlighted in the image below (Showdown64.z64). That is the same file I imported as the rom and it runs without issues. 1 1 Quote
