PedgeJameson Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 Has it changed? Or is it the process I found on Reddit? Quote
JoeViking245 Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 It changed. LaunchBox Media Pack Feature – Version 13.21 - LaunchBox Quote
PedgeJameson Posted July 13, 2025 Author Posted July 13, 2025 (edited) So new folder or no longer supported? If still supported, any size or naming conventions needed? Ok I am reading further, so how are playlist icons supported, having a hard time understanding. Edited July 13, 2025 by PedgeJameson Quote
JoeViking245 Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 Just put 'em here \LaunchBox\Images\Media Packs\Platform Icons\Nostalgic Platform Icons\ in the corresponding sub folder: Quote
PedgeJameson Posted July 13, 2025 Author Posted July 13, 2025 Just so we are on the same page, if I want the same icon as the Sega Genesis icon in the nostalgic folder you have, but I have a playlist called "Genesis USA" without the quotes, what should I name it, and where should I put it after copying? Thanks for your patience. Quote

Thanks for your patience. Rename that icon 'Genesis USA' (without quotes) and put it in this directory [DRIVE]:\Launchbox\Images\Media Packs\Platform Clear Logos\Nostalgic Platform Clear Logos\Playlists And maybe you are using legacy...(then put it also in this directory) [DRIVE]:\Launchbox\Images\Media Packs\Platform Clear Logos\Legacy Conversion Logo Pack\Playlists 1 Quote
PedgeJameson Posted July 13, 2025 Author Posted July 13, 2025 That worked! Thanks!!! LaunchBox\Images\Media Packs\Platform Icons\Nostalgic Platform Icons\Playlists But the Directory you gave me is a little off. I don't think I am using legacy. What does that mean? Quote
Solution launchretrogirl2562 Posted July 13, 2025 Solution Posted July 13, 2025 Not 100% sure sure. But I think i have this legacy directory cause I always was using my own LB and BB theme with it's own icons. So the developers going from version 3.20 to later versions made 2 directories, one for the icons they use out of the box, and one for the custom icons. Must be something like that. Cause I always have 2 directories in the mediapacks directory (legacy and nostalgic) Quote
PedgeJameson Posted July 13, 2025 Author Posted July 13, 2025 Well, if it isn't broke. Do you know if there's a way BTW to hide playlists? I want to hide the original Genesis playlist and just have the US one. I'm not some nationalist or anything, they are just the games I grew up with, is all. 😊 Quote

And Nostalgic has the LB defaults. Not knowing if a person is using the Legacy pack, or imported and is using a different one, it's easier to say to put them in the Nostalgic location. Which also acts as the Fallback location "to look in". 1 Quote

Then tick the checkbox Edited July 13, 2025 by launchretrogirl2562 Quote
PedgeJameson Posted July 13, 2025 Author Posted July 13, 2025 That's in big box though, I mean in the main launcher. Or does it do both? Quote
launchretrogirl2562 Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 In LB, I guess there is no other way then just deleting it. i haven't found a way to hide playlists in LB. Quote
PedgeJameson Posted July 13, 2025 Author Posted July 13, 2025 They need to implement that, that and also just hide ROMs and not delete. I don't need test systems and game genie. 🙄 1 Quote
