legolas119 Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Hi, i need to import again some Sega Megadrive games using a specific core of Retroach, and during the import process, LB doens't allow as it did before, to choose the Retroarch core i need to use for that game: as you can see, after chooing Retroarch, i can't select the core. I need a custom core for a game (paprium) and the default sega genesis plus GX core for another genesis game. How i can import them correctly in LB? thanks! Quote
launchretrogirl2562 Posted August 7 Posted August 7 Just add the games as you are doing. Then after u imported them, go to the game u want to run with a different core. Select "Edit", go to the "Emulation" tab, and enable "Use Custom Command-line Parameters". -L "cores\custom_Core.dll see also Quote
legolas119 Posted August 8 Author Posted August 8 yes, it works! Well, if i would like to import all my Sega Genesis games, using a default core, is it possible to set by default a specific core for all genesis game? Or is it necessary to to the action described above for every game? thanks Quote
launchretrogirl2562 Posted August 8 Posted August 8 yes. Well, u would just have a new platform called 'Sega Genesis' And u would have an extra line in your retroarch emulator (associated platforms) and for the sega genesis u would have the genesis core configured and set as default. Anything that deviates from that for that specific platform, u would use the custom launch commands for. Quote

One-by-one. Alternately, for the games using the non-default core, you can (after importing) add the Custom Command-line parameter to them all-at-once using this plugin: Quote
launchretrogirl2562 Posted August 8 Posted August 8 I see no real advantage to having all games in the same platform. Only disadvantages. So best to separate games in their own platform. saves time later on when u want to add games. The custom launch commands should be exceptions within a specific platform/core Quote
legolas119 Posted August 9 Author Posted August 9 i'm agree. So for this reason i asked how to configure, for example the Genesis GX Plus core as default core as all Genesis games imported in Retroarch. And i will set with the command line only exeptions, like PAPRIUM, that needs a specific custom core Quote
legolas119 Posted August 9 Author Posted August 9 i kindly ask uo another information, please. Now I want to import into my Megadrive playlist a new indie game, named Earthion. If i push Import content --> Scan file --> choose the .zip file, the game isn't added to my playlist, probably it isn't still present into the database, The Directory Scan and Manual Scan aren't good as in those ways i would import all the games into the directory. How i can manually add the game even if it isnt' present into the database? It works with Retroarch as if i try to laucnh it using LOAD Content option, i can run the game. But it isn't present in my Genesis Playslist. Thanks Quote

legolas119 Posted Sunday at 08:46 PM Author Posted Sunday at 08:46 PM yes, i was able to add it to LB. But i can't add it to Retroarch playlist: i would like to add the game here too, if possible Quote
JoeViking245 Posted Sunday at 09:36 PM Posted Sunday at 09:36 PM Ahh. I don't know how to use RetroArch as a frontend. Quote

Open the Quick Menu (usually with F1) while a game is running. Select Add to playlist, then choose the desired playlist. (To add to the favorites playlist, select Add to Favorites instead) Quote
