Games launch outside in mame, but not from launchbox

Hi all, new to launchbox. Just got it yesterday, it was working fine but now today when I try and launch any mame game nothing really happens inside of launch box.

 

Ive tried removing mame emulator from launchbox and readding it, as well as a variety of other things like adding other default command line arguments as well as removing the default command line argument for pausing the game. At this point i think its just best for me to reach out for help.  

Not used to this forum, trying to insert an image by URL but it doesnt seem to be adding it. Heres some pictures that hopefully might help:

Not sure what might be the issue. Have also verified for some specific games the launch address for the roms and emulator are correct

A couple things here. 

1. You should leave the default command line parameters LB sets. They are useful, but importantly in those lines is the command line for (-keyboardprovider dinput) this is needed partly for functions in the LB/BB Pause theme's to work properly. 

2. The check boxes you have for "Remove file extensions" and "Remove Quotes..." you do not really need those checked. LB can run Mame and the games without them checked. 

3. Biggest issue is in the Associated Emulators Platform tab you have the option to "Extract Rom" checked. Mame needs to rom to stay zipped. So uncheck that box. 

For you issue with images on this forum you can just link the image file directly and it will load. You do not have to use URL.

I have readded those launch parameters and unchecked those boxes, how ever still not successful in getting mame games to launch (they run outside how ever in mame stand alone)

 

 is there anything else I should try?

You could try running the MAME Troubleshooting plugin and see if it can shed some light.
