No. This is the only instance in my 8-9 years here where I've heard of this being an issue. I mean, you could put in a feature request. I suppose. Quote
5thWolf Posted October 21, 2025 Author Posted October 21, 2025 Yes, its set to use the .bat emulator Yes it is the only script in there The HighDPIAware is working. Running the .bat alone with it on works, with it off 1/4 screen I don't understand what setting you would mean to launch the KF with GPU. I don't know of any setting that would prevent the exe or bat And the 1/4 is strictly affected by the resolution in KF. if I set it to 640x480 its fine in FS but is very blurry, set to 1920x1080 (which is its only good max, anything higher it crashes) and you get the 1/4. I don't want to change settings in Windows or GPU because all my gaming is portable. I wouldn't be doing it on every PC I go to. Quote

I think there was an older Atari emu that had this issue to. Just can't remember what it was, I moved on to BizHawk so I never pursued it. Edited October 21, 2025 by 5thWolf Quote
Solution 5thWolf Posted October 21, 2025 Author Solution Posted October 21, 2025 (edited) Well hells bells!!! I just used dgVoodoo and it fixed the problem! I guess it helps pass-through the EMU's old dx version and utilizes current features. Now I can full screen with no issues! It's actually pretty simple! I did try to see if it would do 4k when selected in KF's resolution. But it maxes out at 1080p regardless. Also, this wrapper from what I am reading should work on any older DX or 3dFX or Glide software. So this may fix older emu, Windows games and much more! Edited October 21, 2025 by 5thWolf 1 Quote
5thWolf Posted Saturday at 08:59 PM Author Posted Saturday at 08:59 PM I just wanted to chime in, as Kega Fusion at one point was the only emulator that ran Sega CD 32X games. Not sure when Ares emulator started to do this but it run them perfectly! It even run Surgical Strike (Brazil) exclusive! I have officially switched to Ares for this platform! No more DPI issues or anything else since Kega Fusion is soo old and dead. Quote
5thWolf Posted Saturday at 09:54 PM Author Posted Saturday at 09:54 PM (edited) The command line for the games in LB to utilize Mega CD 32X in Ares = --system "Mega CD 32X" It is required since Ares can't tell the extension type since Sega CD & CD 32X tend to be the same file extensions. Otherwise it will default as just as Sega CD and will ask for the 32X attachment. Edited Saturday at 09:54 PM by 5thWolf Quote
