Missing images on forum

It's me again with another strange forum issue. I am seeing random images not showing under various circumstances. Some user pictures do not appear, and some images do not appear when browsing the database. Anyone else?

Either something was 'fixed', or the universe has smiled on me. Everything seems to be back to normal. If a human was involved, thanks!

EDIT: I spoke too soon. The userid icons seem to be showing on forum posts, but I still see random images not showing when I select certain games in the DB.

More info: If I keep refreshing pages with missing graphics, eventually the items show up. This generally refers to something on the server side of things.

To clarify, you're talking about 2 different sites. Correct?

1. The LaunchBox Forums (where we're at now)
   • Users' icons (avatars).  Which seem to be showing for you now.
   • I know on some older posts, inserted images can sometimes appear blank.
     • Clicking the "image" will open the actual image in another tab/window
2. The LaunchBox Games Database ("the database/DB")

Yes, two different sites.

Clicking on any missing image always gives me an error. After multiple refreshes and if a graphic shows, you can click on it to expand it like expected. Just for completeness, I have tried on multiple browsers/browser restarts and multiple machines and all give me the same observations.

Can you share a link (or 2 or 3) to a game(s) on the Games Database that you're seeing this happen?  This way the developers can try to reproduce it and possibly find a fix.

That is the thing. I can't necessarily replicate missing items between different machines. It is so random, and not even the number of page refreshes are consistent. It is almost like a caching or load issue on the server, but I'm not seeing a lag in page loading like in the past. If I find something repeatable, I'll post it here.

I don't recall having this exact experience. I noticed that some system images on games DB were not loading...but that's been a thing pretty much ever since I've been going to the site...so I assumed it was known...other than that...no issue for me that i recall.

thought I would circle back to report this... I just clicked on the games DB link at the top of the forum page and the page didn't load...I closed the tab and navigated to the forum page again and clicked on the link at the top of the page and it loaded.... could have just been one of those technical snafu's but this thread came to mind.
