JoeViking245 Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago Looks promising. Well done! I personally don't have a need for it as I barely play games let alone read the manuals. But I think it could spark some interest out there. 1 Quote
Tsik Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago (edited) Hey, I've honestly never heard of Kavita reader before. May I ask, do someone have to have Kavita already installed in their system for this to work? I would love to learn a bit more about on how it works. Quick searching for "Kavita reader" in Google leads to -here-. Can this be used as a standalone reader? (perhaps tomorrow I'll try and look around for more info). In your video you said it is compatible with cbz files (which is I think essentially a zip file full of pngs formatted to be used for those flip-book comic/magazine readers as you already said) and looks like it is also with PDFs but in your first post you also mention raw .png images and .txt files is it working with those also? Also many DOS games used to have some kind of code wheels for protection like "Monkey Island's 2" Mix n Mojo below which I found can be viewed/used like -this-. Any luck with those? Thanks! 😄 Edited 14 hours ago by Tsik Quote

I use Kavita a self hosted docker image, and access it through a web browser so I have made it under the assumption that kavita is accessed through the web... if there is another way (local windows install) I'm not sure how that process works...so as long as you access it via web browser it would be fine. If things are stored in kavita you can also view those same things on a mobile app or tablet so it's a centralized place to store strategy guides. 1 hour ago, Tsik said: Also many DOS games used to have some kind of code wheels for protection like "Monkey Island's 2" Mix n Mojo below which I found can be viewed/used like -this-. Question about this though.... what would an 'Official' term for these things be called? Edited 12 hours ago by Shredder_guitar Quote
