Manage Emulators After Updating Plugins

This morning 4/17/2026 there were multiple updates to plugins upon launching Launchbox.
After updating all of the plugins and downloading new ones the following Emulators no longer are updating for me:

Dolphin, PCSX2, Retroarch

I attempted to edit these emulators, the download option is no longer there.

I updated the plugins, repaired the plugins, manual deleted the plugins and reinstalled. No Change.

I Deleted PCSX2 entry and tried to re-add.  The emulator is set to manual updates now.

I didn't want to remove Retroarch as there is a lot of setup to the cores list.

Can anyone think of anything else to try?  This feels like 3 broken plugins to me.

I am on 13.27 beta-1
Windows 11

I'm seeing the same issue with those 3 updates.

For now, I suggest leaving the 3 emulators alone.  If you know of and feel you have to update one of them, do it manually.  You know, the old-fashioned way. ;)

Good to know it is not local to just me.  I can deal with manual updating emulators.  I just needed to know.

I suppose if others post here maybe it is bug ticket worthy.

Fixed(ish).

  • Close LaunchBox
  • Navigate to you /LaunchBox/Plugins/ folder
  • Delete the following folders:
    • Dolphin LaunchBox Integration
    • PCSX2 LaunchBox Integration
    • RetroArch LaunchBox Integration
  • (Re)start LaunchBox

That did seem to fix it.

I only deleted 1 of these and updated it (in my original attempts to fix).  Deleting all three now seems to fix the issue.

Think it was a caching issue that all 3 had to be removed to clear?

No.  There was a "glitch in the Matrix" that the developers were able to quickly resolve (thanks for bringing it up, BTW). :D  But the final part of the fix (in this case) required us to remove those folders as mentioned [so LB could rebuild them].

Great.  I appreciate the quick back and forth.

I also added a feature ticket to the backlog earlier this week for manual version number tracking  just to be able to see that on the emulator page at a glance.

I work in software development as well so I think I captured everything that would be needed.

Thanks again.
