Zozio Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Hi, I have a question about downloading media from both the LaunchBox Games Database and EmuMovies. If I enable the download of the same media type from both sources (for example, 3D Boxes or Videos), how does LaunchBox handle this? For example: LaunchBox Games Database: 3D Box enabled EmuMovies: 3D Box enabled Will LaunchBox: Download a 3D Box from both sources, resulting in duplicate files? Use one source as a priority and only download the other if the first source doesn't have the media? Or does it handle this in another way? I'm asking because I would like to enable both sources to get the best possible coverage, but I don't want to unnecessarily download duplicate media. The same question applies to videos: if I enable videos from both LaunchBox and EmuMovies, how does LaunchBox decide which one to download/use? Is there a recommended way to configure the media download options if I want to use both sources while avoiding unnecessary duplicates? Thanks! Quote

LaunchBox does not have videos available. Only EmuMovies. If you use the Bulk Download Media Wizard, it will only download the highest quality one available of the video types (HD, HQ, LQ) you have selected. When you manually edit a game, it will download all video types you have selected. Note, in edit game you'll only see the video types that are available. In the bulk wizard, it will show all 'possible' video types, even if none are available. 27 minutes ago, Zozio said: Is there a recommended way to configure the media download options if I want to use both sources while avoiding unnecessary duplicates? I'm not sure how LaunchBox handles you selecting the same image type from the database and EmuMovies. Also, not sure what others do, but for images I only select the ones from LaunchBox and Select None from EmuMovies. Later, if I see a particular game that's missing an image type or has one I don't like, I'll manually edit the game and see what EmuMovies has available. But that rarely, if ever, happens. Quote
